Mrs.
Fletcher has had over 25 years working experience in the social sector
area. Project planning, formulation and implementation have been a
major focus particularly in the many years spent at the Planning Institute
of Jamaica in both the bi lateral and multilateral cooperation development
sections. This involved dealing with the execution of cooperation
agreements between Jamaica and other countries as well as with multilateral
organizations.
She was engaged
in large scale, multimillion project management as head of the Canadian
Cooperation Office and reported directly to the Development Section
of the Canadian High Commission.
From 1996 she
has been serving as the Executive Director of the National Road
Safety Council and while there has been trained in the Advanced
International Training Programme, Traffic Safety Management and
certified by the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency
and the Swedish National Road and Transport Research Institute.
A major accomplishment during this period is the initiation of,
and involvement in the preparation of the National Road Safety Policy-
2004 which is the driving force behind the promotion of road safety
in Jamaica.
Her
